You may remember our previous post that gave you an explanation as to why you’re bust fits into different sizes in different brands, but there may be another reason why this happens.
If you’ve ever had one of those frustrating bra shopping experiences where it seems that nothing fits, it turns out that you’re not alone! In a survey put on by British store Debenhams, it showed that 78 percent of women have been trying to squeeze into bras that were smaller than the size they SHOULD be wearing. That’s a lot of uncomfortable women.

This survey also found that women aren’t just squishing into smaller sizes, but British busts have actually grown in the past two years. Back in 2010, Debenhams reported that their best-selling size was a 34B, but in 2012, the most popular is a 34DD–that’s an increase of three whole sizes!
Another interesting point was that women aren’t physically increasing their bust size (as numbers may suggest)–they’re shopping to create the figure they desire the most (watch out Beyonce, there’s a hoard of women coming after your physique)! The store reported that 70 percent of their bra sales have been for padded and push-up bras as compared to 36 percent in 2010. Debenhams’ head of lingerie buying and design, Sharon Webb, commented on the trend: “Sales suggest that breasts are bigger and better than ever before”.

“Confidence is changing the shape of the nation. Fit is of paramount importance, a great fitting bra makes you look incredible on the outside and feel fabulous on the inside,” continues Webb, “If women want a bit of enhancement then they can invest in a simple padded or push up bra and see instant results by the fasten of a clasp – no expensive surgery required.”
We agree that the best enhancement is the one found in your bra drawer! So, here’s one of our favorite push-up bra picks… is it in your brayola drawer?
